40 Years of
Dim Sum

Yong began his culinary adventure in 1985, honing his dim sum skills in various cities—Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong.

Amy and Yong both moved to the U.S. in 1994. Their American dream began in San Francisco, where they met and married a year later. They worked tirelessly for ten years in San Francisco’s Chinatown until they saved enough and moved their family to a then up-and-coming city, Seattle.

Doors Opened in 2009

In 2009, Amy and Yong saw a promising opportunity in an empty storefront in the historic Bush Hotel. They quit their jobs, and months later, welcomed their first customers through our doors.

From the very beginning, Dim Sum King was founded on the values of authenticity, accessibility, and affordability. Fifthteen years later, we proudly continue to serve our delicious Dim Sum in the heart of Seattle’s Chinatown-International District.
